LTBMU OHV Gate Meeting

DUE TO THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE LTBMU WILL RESCEDULE. STAY TUNED FOR ANY UPDATES.

This is not a public meeting. A small group of users will meet with the Forest Service in order to create a plan to ensure that OHV gates will open on time per the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM).

Good morning. I’ve been in conversation with some of you regarding bringing folks together to discuss management needs and opportunities of the Rubicon Trail. Doug Barr reached out to see if we could develop better coordination and communication around trail opening and closing, gate management, trail head parking, and other elements of managing this important trail. I committed to helping convene this meeting.

I was able to find an hour block of time that worked for Forest Service staff on the Tahoe and LTBMU. I hope this works for our partners. The date and time is October 7 from 9-10. I will send out a TEAMs invite later today. I will attach the agenda that Doug developed to the meeting invite. This meeting will be hybrid. So, you can join virtually or come to the Supervisor’s Office in South Lake Tahoe. The address is below in my signature block.

RTF generally meets on the third Wednesday of the month.  Every meeting is open to the public to attend in-person or via Zoom.
